Powersteering tube and lube

I have a '06 Sea Pro with Mercury DTS rigging. I was messing aroudn under the console and noticed what looked like a small amoutn of black “mold” in the clear tube along with some gold/yellow fluid . To be honest, since I’ve had the boat, I’ve never added fluid.

I’m at least going to drain the tube and see if it comes out, if not replace the whole thing. Also, can I put ATF in the powersteering port or should I go with SeaStar?

I would use sea star. Also I had this problem last year with the steering still being a little sloppy after I changed my fluid. I had to take it to my mechanic and he used a power purger. Personally for the $80.00 he charged me I will never try and do it myself again. It took my like 6 hour just to try and get it primed on my on. You may have better luck then me, just wanted to let you know about the power purger.
