What is everyone’s preference on bait nets? I for one have a Frabill…which is good but just too small. I think it is the 7"x7" with the wooden handle.
I would like to be able to catch the baits out of the tank without chasing them so much. My kids especially have a hard time with the 100 mph herring. I want to also be able to catch the bait and let it hang in the net while propped up over the opening to the bait tank. I use a Super Bait Tank 35 gallon model.
The frabil from wally world works for me. Its cheap and deep enough to do the trick. I think its 7 or 9" deep. I like a really deep net so I can use the same net for herring as I use for gizzards and trout.
I have a Frabil I won at a MSC door prize drawing. I like it, but my buddies think it’s too deep:smiley: For dipping herring and smaller baits, I sometimes like to pinch the bottom of the net against the handle in order to get 1 at a time. Too big is better than too small.
