Anyone have an idea what we’re going to be looking at this year? How do the crops look with all of this rain? Anyone know of anybody that might want to presale at a reduced rate?

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Guy I buy from said $9. Said diesal was high and corn seed had went up.
I’d heard similar but you’d think with the rain and conditions that we’ve had the crop would be pretty dern good this year. Of course the weather could still go to crap on us.

In just about every feild at my hunt club there is corn planted and it is about seven ft tall and at the hardware stores it is ten dollars a bag for shelled corn … and i honestly dont think there gonna lower the prices
Honestly why would you if you new you could sell it for that price. They sold it last year all they had and most of it was nubs I got. I look for it to drop after the rut when they need to move it. Cause every field I have seen looks great. They will have a bumper crop this year.
If nothing else we agree the corn crop has a chance to be excellent this year would be a correct statement, it isnt made until its in the bin. It does look good so far but without a few more rain showers it could go to average very quickly. Input prices were up during planting and side dress, the grain market is volatile as ever, and its alot easier to run it all through the combine than it is to pick it, haul it, bag it, and deal with selling it. I doubt the price of a bag of deer corn goes up but I wouldnt count on it being 5 bucks a bag again ever. The growers that planted corn are overdue for a decent yeild this year, last year was terrible for corn in my area.
Been down in Arkansas and Alabama lately. Corn is everywhere, and it’s a fantastic crop. Even though we’ve seen a little futures spike due to dry weather, I expect lower prices, maybe $7 a bag, later in the season as the glut takes hold. We’re down from 2011 prices by over $1.50 a bushel.
i have a source in bishopville that is $7 a bag/cob. also have a source here in lexington at $5 a bag/cob. this in lexington is still not completely dried out yet. it is o.k. to put out but i would not put any in storage. might get mold and mildew.
