Got a ole buddy that harvested a 173 8 pointer that’s pretty rare
He was stalk hunting by wading through a flooded woods saw a nice big tree surrounded with honeysuckle when he waded past it this 8 stood up and he fired a rifled slug from his hip at 5 yards
He was deadly with a bow but even though it is allowed the books are listed harvest weapon by season
I’m guessing it’s not going to be too awful long before he gets invited home for dinner…
I sure hope so. Season opens the 10th.

My luck, seeing deer on camera, would be all that I would get to do.
Good luck on putting him in the freezer.
The big ones are nocturnal you need a hot doe to make him change his ways.
