This would be nice to have in the back yard in the cooler months! Looks like it would be easy to build?
Just finding the syrup or washing pot. Those things are bringing a mint at actions. Even the cracked and beat up ones.

that thing you get just moments after you needed it.
That’s what I thought! What a nice place to sit around a fire with friends and drink beer and just chill:wink:

I don’t know about eyesore, but what to do with it 8-9 months of the year.
Maybe if you screened it in and put a table top over the pit.

Fritz, your an eyesore when in use or not! Remember, beauty is in the eye of the beholder! You could put on a roof and screen it in! As long as it doesn’t smoke you out? Fritz is one of those, (The glass is half empty guys)!
At 2 people per bench, if it was cold enough to need a fire you would have a hard time keeping 10 people warm with that little pit.
It might look cool but I will bet you that if the weather was below 40-45 degrees you would have a bunch of cold people on swings. Not my type of campfire.
Probably really sucks with the mosquito breeder behind it.
Narcosis
Fritz isn’t redneck enough to see the beauty in this creation. He’d probably call the city on his neighbors for putting it up in their backyard.
I saw one of these in a persons backyard on HWY 501 between Marion and Florence. The house was all done up. Big garage with an RV under roof, big boat, 4 wheelers, pool, and this fire pit with gravel path and planters. Like a redneck’s paradise.

Here is a picture of Fritz’s no class fire pit. This is something he could be proud of:smiley: If it was his, it would be beautiful and not an eyesore. Something he would be proud to show off and have his friend and family enjoy:wink:

I always love the personal attacks from people that don’t have the balls to tell me who they are in real life.

Why Fritzy, you bad boy, you’ve never asked my name before! Does this mean we are going to have sex? Do I have to wear protection? Are you coming to my place or should I come to yours? You sound a little rough, so I might bring my fur lined cuffs to restrain you a little!
You have some imagination there. Just the fact that most people that insult me on here I actually know who they are so it means something. Thought you might want to become relevant to me that’s all.
That silly little firepit couldn’t handle the types of fires we like to have. Make the pit itself the width of your “redneck swingset firepit” up there and then lets talk.

Fritz, you miss the whole point of the that fire pit thing! It’s not to have a great big bonfire. It’s a gathering place, to sit around in the evening with a fire going and just relax. Maybe roast some marshmallows and hot dogs with the kids and grandkids! You don’t have to run it down. Have a glass of wine and chill out! Take off your stahlhelm once in a while!
Well now that you explained it like that… My crew would have that entire contraption, swings and all burnt to the ground after the first night.

quote:problem here is, whoever sits in the swing downwind will get choked out with smoke, thats why I use rocking chairs. If you go to the trouble to install one of these, get a real kettle, not some mickey mouse toy. Carolina Kettles in Walterboro hooked me up with a 60 gallon, that I had to load/unload with the tractor, now your talking real kettles made in the USA.
