I’ve got a 22ft Grady White with one Yamaha 250. I fish this boat offshore and try to keep up the prevent maint as good as possible. I bought the boat new in 2007. I take very good care of the boat and everything is working perfectly. So do you think I should replace the batteries and water pump now that we are starting the 3rd summer on the boat? I might have 250hrs on the motor.
I wouldn’t replace a battery unless one indicates it’s having a problem (which every one I’ve ever replaced did before dieing), and I’d follow Yamaha’s recommendation as to a water pump.
