Primer Bulb

Primer Bulb for my 60 E-Tec seems need squeezing while operating. Only a few months old. Line runs from tank up front to a water separator and then to outboard.

Any suggestions? Thinking it might be best to run all new lines(separator to motor including bulb) instead of parts.

check the clamps on your fuel line between tank + fuel filter and fuel filter+bulb - might be pulling in air and losing prime

weak fuel pump will also cause that problem

I had the same problem today on my E tec 250 and could smell gas. Then the auto bildge pump came on and pumped out about 10 gal of pure gas. I found a cut in the fuel line just before the bulb, cut it out and reattached the bulb and had no further problemns. Sure am glad I have quite smoaking!
