Private Boat Landings

I am relocating over to the Rantowles / Hollywood area from Mt. Pleasant and wondering if anyone knows of any private boat landing options in the area? I would gladly pay a little to not have to use Limehouse during the busy season.

Don’t know of any private landings. But, toogoodoo landing is not that far away from rantowles. It’s the county landing off of Parrishville rd. Doesn’t have much parking and doesn’t have any floating dock, but other than that it is OK to use.And it puts you right into some decent fishing areas.

Thank you Sea tonic, I didn’t think there was anything in the area but would not hurt to ask. Toogoodoo will work as long as I am not launching alone.

Bulow landing is on Rantowles Creek. Shallow at low tide.

Depending on the size of your boat, Toogoodoo is easy to launch from. I use it all the time with an 18’ and 22’ with a deep vee. Only problem for most people is there is no dock, which is nice to keep the boat traffic down. Be aware, at lower tides there is a sandbar across from the ramp and downriver past the last dock that covers most of the creek so stay far right.

Thanks all, I am looking forward to the new fishing grounds up that way.

I’m on Rantowles. You can PM me a number if you’d like to talk. Budlow used to be good, but the yahoos that keep moving in there everyday act like they own it all of a sudden. It is shallow in places, but if you know that area, there is excellent fishing…especially in the winter!

Dawhoo Landing is another option and it has plenty of parking, two ramps, and a dock. Just be careful if a ditch plower is going by when putting in or taking out. They do not slow down.
