Do any of you use pro-cure on your plastic or live bait?..If so what kind? Where around here can you get them? I’ve only found crawfish and garlic at Wal-Mart. Seen a shad scent which might work in salt?..Where can you get Menhaden, Shrimp, Crab or Mullet scents at?..That is without going to pro-cure.com

Go buy some Gulp! and slather it with ProCure and you have the best of both worlds. The only other scent I have found to be effective is Strike King’s coffee scent which is already infused into their soft plastics. I have soaked all kinds of plastics in menhaden oil and had no luck.

I’ve heard about putting platics in a ziplock bag of coffee grounds before…I guess it’s supposed to give them an “earthy” scent?

Pro-cure “Inshore Saltwater Super Gel,” can’t remember where I got it but probably Haddrells. Really thick, sticky stuff, have to smear it on.

Can’t say it makes or breaks it, but seems to help. I’ve had a red pick up a DOA shrimp slathered with it while laying completely still on the bottom. (while I was picking out a bird nest in my baitcaster, of course!)

Pro-Cure is probably the best “add-on” scents I have used. Unlike the older aerosol style, Pro Cure sticks phenominally well (esp to Zman’s Elaztech baits) to plastics and will still be very “fragrant” 30 casts later. I think it definately makes a difference on reds, but not quite as much with trout as they are more of an eye sight feeder. As always just my .02 but hope it helps!

Called Haddrell’s today ad they sell Pro-Cure. Got minnow and shrimp along with Gulp spray and some other scents. I’ll be picking some up this weekend for my trip Monday with my brother. Looking to reel in some Reds out in the Wando.
