Pro cure and stuff like it

Does it work? Is it worth it?

I have Pro-Cure in both the shrimp and the mullet scents. I find the shrimp works better and there is definitely something to having the extra scent on the bait. If fish are hesitant to bite by reaction, sometimes I feel the scent helps trigger the bite. That being said, scent in the water will also bring fish to that area to attempt to locate(i.e. using shrimp or cut bait on the bottom)

For reds, gulp is best. For trout, you will see very little benefit in scent. Gulp is still best for them also though in cool water. Having scent will help always, but Gulp TRUMPS them all. (No affiliation with Pure Fishing)

Gulp for me isn’t that sporting. I use it only as a fish finder situation, or if I haven’t fished in a while and don’t know what the fish are doing/ new spots. I’d say gulp is more aggressive and puts more scent out. I like procure better, mainly because of other reasons…easy to store, I can put it on baits that last line zman paddle tails. If you it on the procure shrimp scent it get just as many bites from bait stealers.

When using Gulp/Pro Cure do y’all dead stick the bait or slow work it like any other plastic/jig head? Please share thoughts on above in Warm vs. Cold water situations.
