You never gave anything but a product endorsement; nothing else. Jealous much. Everyone who folows knows who I am.

Ego much…this isn’t a inshore discussion anymore. More of a pat yourself on the back dialogue going in here. Said what I thought about your question gulp vs. Procure. I stand by my opinion and research. And Now I know Raddaddy is Ron A. Davis.
Now you have the whole forum’s attention. What credentials do you have to trump me? You concede your results to mine?

Chatterbait?? I gave an opinion on products that I use on a daily basis which in fact I prefer due to scent, plastic strength and versatility. I pay my way, always will always have, lots of others will say the same about Z-man products. They are above the competition at this point in my opinion. That’s all it is an opinion based on fact of everyday fishing results.
I’m confused. That makes no sense per your previous results. “I pay my way.” What does that mean?

. I said my opinion, makes pretty good sense to me. Tried both like the way the Z-man and Pro Cure produce over Gulp for various reasons stated above( scent, plastic strength and versatility) along with everyday fishing results.
Again, nothing but a product plug. I’ve got 2 things simply for ya I.F.
1)Have you ever placed in the money in an IFA or LCRC Tourney?
2)Have you ever made an impact on the fishing lure industry by selling millions of product?
If the answer is no, then S.T.F.U. You are making yourselif look silly.

LMAO…Me look silly… Why ask ask for opinions, and I qoute “I have my own opinion, but I would like to hear what others have to say.” if you don’t want to hear what others have to say. Are you going to tell us your opinion? I’d like to hear your break down on the 2. I’m going to go out on a li
Hey guys can we get back to the original topic now. You guys seem to be going in circles. I am curious to know how some others feel. I have not dead sticked them as that is not my type of fishing. I have fished with another angler that I consider to be a much better fisherman than I and we caught the exact same amount of fish, one using Gulp and one using pro cure on Z-Man. I understand that dead sticking is much more about scent than presentation.
Anyone else been able to do some controlled experiments with the top 2 scented plastics on this site besides me: Pro Cure vs. Gulp! The only way you can do it is to be on a school (or multiple) of fish that will hold in the same area for a given time period and deadstick both in the vicinity and see what happens. I have done this multiple times, and I have my own opinion, bur I would like to hear what others have to say.
Why is that the ONLY way to test the difference between the two products? There are so many variables involved when fishing in any environment that you can’t control for everything especially when casting at a school of 100 fish. If you really want to be scientific about it, how many times do you have to do this experiment until you get an adequate sample size? Probably a crap load considering the number of variables that come into play. When that’s all said and done, you’ve wasted a lot of time to figure out that one scent is minutely better than the other and in the end only to realize that marginal difference becomes even less significant when color, placement, and presentation are added into mix.
Gulp makes a good scent, no question. But so does Pro cure.
the point im trying to make is that you can catch a redfish on just about anything. I prefer zman lures because they are durable and they are made with an environmentally safe plastic. They also cost me less because I dont have to change them every time I get a hit, and the tails dont get bitten off hardly ever, and I can leave them rigged and not end up with a shrivelled little thing when I get back to fishing after a week or so. Gulp still works great and I think there are a lot of people who like it, but I think as said above, placement and retrieval mean more than just about anything.
I cant imagine why someone would care about dead-sticking artificials, the whole premise is silly. Its like comparing 2 sportscars’ performance based on what they do when they are parked.
As for my resume, I cant catch $#!t! but you asked for opinions, and you know what they say about opinions…
I have caught fish on both my opinion is snake makes a better quality bait . I have used the same zman shrimp for hours can’t say that about gulp. I would use double the gulp alive as zman in a day . Cheaper and more affective zman for this broke southern boy
You are absolutely correct in the amount of variables concerning the effectiveness of any lure. The 3 major ones would be color, action, and scent. If you want to isolate only 1 variable, deadsticking similar colored/shaped “plastics” is the only “fair” test. There is no doubt Z-Man has the most supple, long-lasting soft plastic on the market, but I was asking about scent which Pro Cure or Gulp! can be applied to multitude of baits

That’s a great video to watch, seen it a few times. Definately Gulf of Mexico reds. There’s another one with gummy worms and pickles as well…
