Problems with Depthfinder and bilge

My boat has been sitting since January and when I went to get it ready the other day my Eagle depthfinder/gps unit would not turn on. I made sure there was power to my switch and also check power on both sides of the fuse. All showed there was voltage going to them. When I put the circuit tester in the plug the only one that showed it was hot was the top left prong (or actually it is the female portion). Do any of you know if there should be power to more of them. Would a bad ground be causing only one to work and not all the others? Also my ground is spliced in with some other ground wires and all them seem to work properly. By the way it is on an 18 foot Sea Pro CC. I realize there may not be much help without seeing the boat but any ideas on where to start.

Also I went to check my bilge and it did not work. It worked fine last time I used it. I unsnapped the unit and spun the middle and it was not frozen. there appears to be power going to the unit so I’m not sure. could the unit just be bad and need replacing? any ideas on where to look here also? The bilge is a Mate 1100

Thanks

sounds like you have a ground issue
no, there should only be power to 1 wire.
hook your test light to the positive side of the battery, and test for ground at teh plug
