Productive evening with the reds

This is my first post here on Charleston Fishing and seems to be a great fishing forum site. Yesterday, I took my cousin and her father out to see if we couldn’t catch a few. Not much luck on the plastics but ended up landing about 10 reds once we had switched to do some bait fishing. Here are a couple pics of the great day

Also went out behind the shrimpers and hook several large sharks but only managed to land two

Second that on the bait question?

Going out with my buddy on Saturday and although I’d prefer to throw a fly or artificials, we’re going to use shrimp, MMs, cut mullet and see what they want.

Were you fishing docks, oysters, creek mouths/points?

Winyah Bay area and used cut mullet on the reds and dragged Pogeys behind the shrimpers.

We were using plastics but couldn’t get the bite going or were not presenting them right. Ended up switching to cut mullet for the reds. We were mainly fishing a creek mouth with some oyster beds that narrowed the creek on the falling tide.
