Thanks for the "Hughes" tip.You have moved to JI?I'll bet this has something to do with Ms L.

yep - pretty much a JI boy now. the bote and a pair of flip flops are staying in Mt P though.

not so bad at all: close in on JI and close in Mt P. i’ve made it from one to the other in 15 minutes. not everytime, but it happens

congratz

He goes by Big Daddy or Tee Ohh. He’ll get them so sharp you’ll it’s scarey.

Stella will make the hook up or or the wild man can too.

i called the wild man @ 7 this morning and woke him up. he denied being asleep. when i bagged the trip he was totally good with it. i called him again at 11:30, woke him up again. he reiterated he was up and ready this morning!

I’ve got a wicked backhand steel and will straighten the feathers for a coke and a smile…

where are you on JI now Hoppy?

Don’t let them put those knives on the grinding wheel. Make sure whom ever you get to do it uses an oil stone or I think some have a belt sharpener. If they grind them past the bolster on the handle you’ll have a hard time chopping. you can get a nice, long lasting sharpening (easy to use) sharpening kit from Cabela’s for under $100 bucks. It’ll pay for itself twice over.

Amen, I’ll second that. A Lansky (or even the cheaper Gatco) guided shapeners are pretty darn good for the money.

GET A DIAMOND STONE BLACK COARSE BLUE MEDIUM RED FINE IT DOESNT TAKE LONG TO SHARPEN A DULL KNIFE UP. RUN STONE UNDER WATER THEN SHARPEN IN LONG SLICE LIKE STROKES COUNT & KEEP THEM EVEN. THEY MAKE A THREE SIDED BLOCK WITH ALL COLORS CAN BE HAD @ CABELLAS. ITS LIKE FISHING LEARN & PRACTICE. HAD A SET FOR AT LEAST 20 YRS CANNOT WEAR THEM OUT.DONT EVER PUT A SHARP KNIFE INA DISHWASHER HOT WATER WILL TAKE EDGE OFF AND REQUIRE CONSTANT TOUCH UP HAND WASH & DRY YOUR KNIVES

Thanks geech good stuff to know

If you are in Cola,I would be happy to run it through my commercial knife sharpner. It put the bevil back in the blade then use your stone for regular maintence, no charge.

DT - man i wish you were here

that is really a nice offer
