I have used Andren software several years ago for loran to GPS conversion. Do many people use this software for GPS storage and organization. I know there are other programs out there. I recently had my GPS catch fire and Jeff Sechrest just saved my butt today by recovering it all for me. What programs are you using to save and organize your data?? and do you move it between different brand units (lowrance, garmin, simrad etc). I will take any and all ■■■■■■■■. Thanks
I’m confused here, do you have a file with all the coordinates and names?

If you can’t stand behind our soldiers, try standing in front of them.
Send them to me and I will organize them for you.
Shooting fish in the face is my hobby.
That is the program I use to organize mine. Works great between my Furuno and Garmin units.
Charles, I will help you, but I need your 2 yamaha gauges.

Yeah, that’s the ticket! Y’all, I’m volunteering to organize the GPS numbers for every CFC member. You just send them to me and I’ll get them organized and send them back on a program of your choice! LOL
I’m about to start writing some software that will do it… Until then, use Garmin Mapsource…

Jason does Garmin mapsource have a map view next to numbers data/ column? write that program and i will be your test pilot!
Fishb8 i only have numbers written down on paper and numbers stored in an old style garmin 128 mb map chart card. I wanna get them all on computer organized in some way so i can print out and keep organized with a map view and data area. What about a program for using a digital voice recorder that puts the data straight on computer screen via specialized voice recognition software?
quote:Yep. It has a map and you can measure distance, direction between waypoints, etc. I use it to get a visual layout of my trip. It's $30 right off of Garmin's website, and I think you can find it for $22-25 on Amazon...

Yes it does. I’ve been using it for years to organize my numbers. Although I don’t use Garmin GPS anymore, so can’t do direct data transfers, I enter them in manually and mapsource plots them on the chart. I name all the waypoints and print out the chart in sections. As more data is entered the ledge patterns and layout becomes apparent and makes it easy to set up the best drift or trolling pattern.
For example, this is one page from an area on the Savannah Snapper Banks. You can see the plotted waypoints and their relation to each other. On another sheet I print out the gps coordinates of the waypoints. I’m not going to show you those
