Propane carburater

All ya’ll smart folks let me avail myself of your vast storehouse of knowledge.

I have a very good Honda 10KW generator. Each year I buy 30 gallons of alcohol-free gas for the storm season. If I don’t use it, it goes in the boat for the fall bite.

Now I have a 150 gallon buried propane tank that stays about 80% full. I am wondering if it would be possible to have my generator converted to a dual fuel configuration so I could run it on gasoline or propane. I have seen factory built rigs that could be switched between natural gas, propane or gasoline. My question is would it be practical to have my machine “converted” to a multi-fuel arrangement? Or should I just bite the bullet and buy a new dual fuel generator.

That’s a question for the braniacs. That would not be me.

Thanks anyway. One of my buds found an outfit in Utah that makes/sells carburetors for my Honda engine that do just what I had in mind. $57 and it’s a “bolt on” modification. Going to give it a try.
