propeller repair

I was fishing with a buddy on his boat this morning. We got stuck on a sandbar in a creek trying to catch bait. He wrung the hub on his stainless prop. Motor is a 115 Johnson OB.

Any suggestions for a good prop shop in the Blufton/Beaufort/South side of Charleston areas? I tried the search function and got “server error”.

Skips shop is great but it is a little further than you have mentioned.

Always use the search function under the services tab.

IMO Skips is worth the trip

Skip doesn’t seem like the kind of guy that does a lot of Facebooking or PayPaling but, he is the only guy I would recommend. I bought and have had props repaired by Skips from 15HP to 115HP. Can you just mail the prop to him or something? Call him and see what he says.

Who is Skip?

Island Boy, I tried the search function under the services tab and got the server error message searching for “prop repair”.

The search function under the services tab is through Google. I tried it with the key words you used and it worked…? Maybe something with your setting?

Thanks ya’ll. I’ll recommend Skip. I found Palmetto Props in Ravenel on a Google search. They are closer. Anyone have experience with them?

I retried searching for prop repair using this site’s search function and got server error again. I don’t know what I am doing wrong.

IMO the best prop man around our area. 843-552-4000 Mike has repaired two ripped off Skeggs for me and at least two dozen props. He does performance work on props as well. I’ve actually brought him a couple of props straight out of the “box”.

Crazy thing is he is actually allergic to Stainless steel. Has to keep a full respirator on any time working a prop.

I’ll jump on Skips bandwagon as well. Best around. only a few miles from the one in Ravenel. Definitely worth the extra driving IMHO

My buddy got his prop re-hubbed at Skip’s this morning for a very reasonable price. He said Skip could not have been nicer.

Skip said tell everyone to bring him your prop problems. He has 2 new fans. I highly recommend him.
