I’ll be in Charleston for a short while in August. Is there a decent public golf course nearby?

Stono Ferry, Shadowmoss, Patriots Point, etc.

Tons of decent courses surround the area.

Thanks for the info. I don’t know much about surf of saltwater fishing so I figured I might as well play golf.

Which course has the widest fairways? Or the least amount of houses lining the fairways? If it’s tight I’ll have to tee off with an iron and I like to grip it and rip it whenever possible.

You will want to play Patriots Point, it’s a Links course. No houses, and wide open, also a nice course.
