There won’t be anymore water down the cooper. There will not be an operational fish lift at st stephens. It looks like they are going to go with a 26 in. min. 3 fish limit with a closed season from june to september. Not many keepers in that lot. We need water down the cooper.

Lake Murray dam to the fall line in the Cooper and Santee Rivers. 3 fish per angler, 26" minimum, closed June through September. Summer catch and release discouraged because most fish die from the stress. Lower Saluda above Blossom Street bridge not as fatal to released fish due to cooler water. They also mentioned barge release of fry in the stocking program to reduce predation by shore relating species. The DNR folks who were on the show also do a “state of the lake” presentation at the Midlands Striper Club December meeting every year.
