Got picked for Samworth WMA in January. Has anyone been drawn for this WMA duck hunt before? expectations?
where did u get the application. I kept monitoring the website and couldnt find it
Me and a buddy just got notice we got picked for Samworth on Jan 14.
I was just fixin to ask the same thing. I’ve been to several over the years but, never there? Looks like puddle ducks looking at the past years bags. Shows some fields and flooded timber on GoogleEarth. Would be nice for some info.

Sniper - they are doing all applications online now I believe. They were due October 23rd or so.
This is my first WMA draw, so beyond the limited info on the application I am curious. They do provide boat and blind. For Samworth, or any other WMA for that matter, I am wondering how many they put per blind / day, how many blinds, etc.
You use to have to mail in a form. Now its online regis only. Deadline has passed on Oct.
Most of the draw hunts you only need to show up with your gun - waders - and a box of shells. They provide blinds and decoys or boat and paddle to get to blind. There are a few that you have to bring a bag of deks and at least one that you have to bring a boat. (One of the Bear Is hunts) Most they drop you out of their truck and later pick you up.
It tells the past years bags on the website - also gives you the what is needed details on each hunt. Samworth you have to bring one bag of deks and your 25 shells. They ride you over to the impoundment in a boat and pick you up at 11:00. Different units hunt different numbers and have more or less blinds. Looks like Samworth was usually 3-8 hunters total.

i looked religiously for the app and never saw it
Samworth can be hit or miss based on the people I have talked to. I would be ready to move to get on the X once the birds start moving and show you where they want to be. Approach it like hunting a new area for the first time.
