Pulled the Trigger on a New Sea Pro 228 Bay

After many years of looking, research, etc; I finally pulled the trigger on a new Sea Pro 228 Bay Boat. Based on the fit and finish and options along with a 5 year warranty on all components from stern to bow I landed on the new Sea Pro. Expecting to take delivery mid Sept.

Awesome! I have a SeaPro 220CC and love it. Post some pics when you get the new ride.

What’s wrong with the new zukes?

Still having corrosion issues?

I have heard conflicting reports. All the manufactures have had some form or fashion of corrosion issues over the years. Not bashing Yamaha because I have owned several but their older 225 hp had very serious exhaust corrision. I guess like any outboard you have to take care of it.

How does SeaPro compare to Scout? I see a 228 on boat trader fully loaded with a nice t-top for $62,900. Seems like a good value. I imagine the Scout 231XS would be more expensive but have a higher resale/trade-in value.
