How fast do you guys typically pull artificial baits like stretch 25s and umbrella rigs? I’ve tried 1.0-1.5 mph and caught perch, largemouth, and a catfish, but no striper. Any suggestions? Thank you!
2.5-3mph…with 2.8-2.9 to be my favorite.

Thank you!
2.2 to 3.2 mph. I don’t think you ever have to worry about a Striper catching up to it!
My boat runs about 2.5 - 2.6 mph with the outboard just in gear, no other throttle. With my i-Pilot on high, I get about the same speed.

My old 175 will only tick down around 3.3 when in gear. It’s idled up pretty high and I could adjust it. However, it’s running so well for a 1987 model that I don’t want to tinker with it. I can get 2.7 with my 70 pound thrust I-Pilot, but was warned that running at the top end for hours at a time can burn the brushes. Because of that, I pretty much stick to bait and spoon-jerkin.
