We got to the upper Edisto Banks Area around 7 and had a slinger on within 10 minutes. Then, it was slow for a while before picking up two small gaffer bulls (10-15#s) and two more slingers. Also had several more peanuts and cudas along with two kings. Colors were black/red, pink/white, and bleeding dolphin squitches.
We decided to drop on some good looking bottom and had 2 or 3 BIG grouper break us off as soon as we got them up in one spot, and we only got one scamp in the box to show for all of it. Did not jig much yesterday due to something funny going on with the braid on one of my reels… We came in and hit a few shallower spots, but the AJ’s were too thick and had the bite cut off. It was a nice day out there and we ran back in at 35kts. Best weed patch was inside the rocks- complete with dead sea turtle. The best weeds offshore were inside of 100’; made for clear trolling out on the ledge at least.

Is that right… I like the 30s better than the 50s. Takes alittle longer to get the fish in but is more sporty too. My father likes the 50s. He is there to meat fish no time for the small stuff.
There are still some really good deals to be had on sliver 4/02s right now. You should get a few more.
I will say that the louder clicker on the new Pros 30s is nice though. Not sure if it is $100 nicer but nice.
