Push Pole Epoxy

I’m about to purchase a TFO Mangrove push pole. So many people I see use the West System 105/205 epoxy. I’ve seen this with and without the thickener (silicone I presume). Someone suggested to me using FlexCoat epoxy saying it tended to flex with the pole better and last longer. Thickener wasn’t mentioned in using the FlexCoat. Anyone have any experience with either and/or suggestions on modular push pole assembly?

The problem with Flex coat is that it takes a long time to cure (often over 8 hours in cooler temps). Thickener would have to be added to keep it from running out the joint.

This would be a good application for West System G-flex. It is a toughened epoxy that will flex and has really good adhesion properties. It sets up fairly quickly so thickener may not be needed. Otherwise I would use colloidal silica and only enough to make it like molasses.
