Push pole options

I need a push pole for a 20’ back country flats boat. Any info on quality brands, length and places close to charleston I can pick one up would be awesome.

Temple Fork Outfitters make a nice affordable pp, or check out carbon marine. they use tfo poles and pre assemble them and warrant the epoxy work

Thanks for the info. anyone have any input on length? is there a prefered length of pole to length of boat ratio?

I just bought a moonshadow. It’s a fl base company. They only make up to 20ft but i got the carbon for 638 bucks! or you can spend about 700 bucks for a stiffy graphite.

Stiffy Hybrid is more durable and what I think would work best for a big flats boat like yours. Go for a 21 ft…and I think Chas Angler sells them. That’s where I got mine years ago

In a 20 foot boot, you need a 24 footer… I’m in a 18 and a 21 is ok, I’d rather have a 22. I’m with feather thrower, the hybrid would be my first choice…kinda pricey but Its the most used item on the skiff.

This is the solution. No retailers in South Carolina though.

I’m not sure how the skinny water would hold up on a 20’ boat

I’ve spoken with the fella down there and he says they make up to 24ft, I should be gettin one before too long, I’ll let ya know how it goes. Apparently the 20ft weighs 6.32lbs which is comprable to Stiffy but for way less $

wonder how flexible they are compared to the stiffy?

Don’t bother! My buddy had one for his 19 foot Carolina skiff, think he snap it in half.
