I am inquiring about the super stick push pole and if anyone has used it. I don’t have much experience poling but would like to purchase one for my rig. I don’t want to spend $1000 on a pole That I won’t be using that much. Any recommendations for an inexpensive (less than $300 and not homade ) push pole would be greatly appreciated. Or even better yet if you have a used one you are looking to sell let me know. Thanks
Many companies make a fiberglass push pole which is fine for occasional use and can be had new for under $300.
I was looking for one a while back & found one that comes in 6ft pcs. You buy a handle & foot that screws on & buy 6ft sections. I think a 18ft one would be a little over 200 maybe? It has been a while & can’t remember where I saw it at.
Check out the screw together concrete finishing handles at Lowes. Have been using one for years 3 joints, light weight and will float if dropped. Cheap! Made a duck foot out of starboard.
Don’t have one, but friend 3 docks over has one. In saltwater, salt /crud gets in the joints & makes sliding in/out a chore. My buddy has it 3 years now, still works, but cruses it when it jams up. Excellent for cleaning house windows too (that’s what I borrow it for, for I bought my friends all the optional attachments for the “right” to use it).
For inexpensive push pole, make your self, see Max Gain systems on Google.

I have been using the mud hole MHX for about two years since I broke last push pole. No issues good price and performs well for the amount of fishing I have been doing lately. Easy to put together

No matter how much it hurts, how dark it gets, or how far you fall…you are never out of the fight.
I once had a two piece FG pole made by Moonlighter. It turned out to be a disappointment. I have a one piece Moonlighter now for my flats boat, but I seldom use it as I an getting too old to pole the boat. It is 21 ft. and I would consider selling it.

Check out the Carbon Marine Mangrove push pole. It’s the TFO push pole that they assemble for you. Honestly if you start with the superstick you’ll hate poling and give it up. If you get a little better push pole you may actually like it and spend more time doing it. With my newest boat I don’t even have a trolling motor, push pole only and I wouldn’t change it for anything.
