Quantum Boca 80

So I am making some tackle changes and want to know what the opinions and experience of the Quantum Boca 80 is for bottom fishing. Mostly worried how it will hold up to grouper. I want to go with spinning since some people I take on my boat do not know how to use a conventional reel and am tired of wasting time on bird nest. The price seems good also. Thanks.

I don’t know about the Boca series, but I’ve got a Quantum Cabo 80 that I use for bottom fishing grouper and snapper, and I love it :smiley: I’ve also got a couple Cabo 30 and 40s. Great reels IMO.

Have put many good eating sized groupers in the boat with a boca 60. No doubt a boca 80 will do it.
