Question: 2 garmin screens, 1 transducer

I have a Garmin GPSmap 4208 (8" screen) bundle and an older Garmin sonar (similar to 421, 4" screen). Both are installed and working but I don’t have the 4208 connected to a transducer yet. I want to keep dual screens.

Can I run the single transducer to both units or should I install another transducer. The transducer currently installed and functional on the 4" garmin appears to be the same for the 4208 bundle. Any thoughts?

you can if the old transducer uses the same digital signal as the new 4208

if two transducers were installed, would their signals beamed from the bottom of the boat conflict with one another? Could they be on the same side of transom hull or opposite sides
