I would not use that rope. That appears to be a “poly” rope which is not preferred for anchoring. It’s probably cheap for a reason. 600’ of anything for 50 bucks is probably crap. Nylon ropes are preferred while anchoring due to the generous stretch they have. You want twisted nylon (3 strand is fine). I used this product (or something similar) for my 23’ boat. https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=anchor+line+amazon&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8#q=anchor+line+amazon+300’&rls=en
Also, on a boat that size, I’m assuming you have a windlass? If not, I pity the fool that pulls a danforth and 25 feet of chain up. As for chain length, I think mine is about half the length of my boat (23’ boat length, 6k displacement) maybe a little less actually, i think I bought 9 feet and attached it to a 14 lb danforth (3/8" chain). Your boat will probably need bigger chain (maybe not, perhaps someone could pipe in about experience on that size boat), but don’t go crazy on the length… it can be a waste of money after a certain point. also if you don’t have a mechanical means to get a large chain up, or if those mechanical means break, it could be very tiring at those depths.
I have anchored as deep as 100 ft no problems and I have 300’. On a calm day, I know I could anchor a little deeper. I don’t have a windlass so it behooves me to learn accurate placement quickly at those depths. I’ve anchored once in real rough waves. I learned quickly to appreciate the stretch in the line. I’m not sure what would have happened If I had used a cheap poly rope, but I’m sure it would not have been pretty.
That poly line you are looking at is not meant for anchoring. First it floats and second it does not have a very good stretch factor. For your boat to do what you want you need 1/2 inch line. You can do either 3 strand or double braided nylon. Three strand is the cheaper and will do just fine. For the bottom fishing you want to do you will be good with 400’. 25 feet of chain will be perfect. As far as anchor I would go with a mighty mite wreck anchor. Danforth is not meant for wreck fishing. Make sure you mouse your shackles. You can use wire or a zip tie to do so. Also purchase a poly ball anchor retriever set up. It will make quick work getting the anchor back on to the boat! I have a windless on my boat, but only use it for inshore anchoring. It does not have a free fall feature on it so it descends to slow for bottom fishing. Next buy or build a marker buoy with 300’ of para cord on it with a 4lb weight. The hardest thing about anchoring off shore is you have no visual reference to look at to aid you. With this when you pull up to you spot throw it over board. The float will indicate where you want to place your boat and aid in a visual reference for you. Next go to Lowes or home dump and buy a heavy duty rubber maid container. Get the smallest one you can find to hold all of this stuff in it. Just coil the rope in the bottom of it and place anchor on top. Easy deployment this way.
Knew it was too good to be true. Thanks for the info. I think I have read about the mouse deal on here before so I will search that up. I don’t plan on using the windlass offshore.
Will the mighty mite anchor hold up in just a sandy type of bottom. A few of my spots have some structure but I dot think there is much more down there but weeds and sand.
The don’t think the mighty mite does well in sand or mud, but in those areas it does slow my drift to where I can get a lot more drops. If the bite is on in that spot it is worth dropping it. Especially of you have a poly ball. That this make easy work of raising the anchor. I think you will also find your spots probably have more structure than you think.
2 anchors, mighty mite for hard ground, and a 26# Danforth stlye or plow for sand. 1/2" trippe strand nylon in two 300’ lengths with eyes spliced in the ends. I like the Hooker brand, stay away from the fortress and Gaurdian high end toys.

What he said. Got most of my knowledge about anchoring offshore from him!

I just bought a Minkota motor with anchor mode 80# thrust and 60 " shaft to use on my striper boat! It is the greatest thing since sliced bread so far! Have used many times in the upstate lakes even with the winds we have had in the last few weeks and even in the current under Russle dam it has held true, Have anyone on here used one off shore! Might be the ticket!
