question about mudflats in winter

hey i went out to a mudflat today on the wando to look for fish and saw some big boys spook when i ran right on top of them… i was in really shallow water and couldnt see crap because it was so murky… i was wondering if those mudflats are clear enough to see fish cruising in in the winter… here is the flat i went to today http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&source=hp&q=Wando+River,+Charleston,+South+Carolina&ie=UTF8&cd=1&geocode=FVYV9wEd2MY_-w&split=0&hq=&hnear=Wando+River&ll=32.919881,-79.818141&spn=0.007745,0.016512&t=h&z=17

Good luck Bros

If it’s pluff mud, wind is going to be the big factor. Haven’t fished that bit of mud but, if the wind stays down, it could go clear.

Trying to find clear water on a Charleston mud flat is like trying to find a CofC virgin. I’m sure there is one out there but…

i like iFly’s advice, soon as the mullet run is over it should start clearin up. Why wait though they were throwin tails up yesterday, cajun crawlin, and pushin wakes, ill take that over watchin em sit in clear water any day.

When water gets in mid to low 60"s water will clear up for the most part Dec 15th-march15th, and reds will bunch up in larger schools on the flats
