question about poles/tags

I was forced to get new poles b/c mine were run over by a neighbor. However, the new poles don’t have tags b/c this season’s tags are still on the damaged poles. Will DNR give me more poles or will I have to cut the tags from the old ones?

Correction “Will DNR give me more TAGS, or will I have to cut them from the old poles”

You can pay for a set of replacement tags…$5 I believe.

Two of my tags came off of my cane poles a week ago and since then I stretch wrapped the suckers. Just go by DNR office on Fort Johnson, if that is convenient for you, and it should be a dollar per tag. Problem solved.

Sounds good. . thanks guys.

Use clear packing tape to keep tags from coming off

I had really bad problems last year with the tags coming off my poles, like they are using a cheaper glue or something **budget cuts. Is it the same problem this year?

We are still trying to fill gator tags so we haven’t gotten our shrimp tags yet.

We had the same problem last year and this year with the tags falling off. We have pvc poles. I tried three different glues this season (super glue, spray contact cement, and pvc cement). All three seem to be holding, but the super glue was the easiest to work with.
