Once underwater, how far out do the rocks go before the bottom is just sand. Does that make sense? If fish were to be feeding on crabs where the rocks meet the sand, how far is that (typically) from the exposed rocks above the water’s surface? I’m trying to picture how vertical that underwater wall of rocks is.
My understanding is during construction of the Charleston jetties the boulders were dropped from decks of ships so my guess is some rolled others didn’t. The only true way to tell is by using your depth finder. Seeing the jetties at a really low tide, looks like a pretty slow incline. More rocks down there than you think!

Follow up questions, how much water is over the submerged jetties at low tide?
As little as 2-3 feet on certain tides.

Down here is where a signature goes but they can confuse and anger some people so I don’t have one.
