That might be a little small for you. I am about 250 and I feel like I am paddling ona popsicle stick on my Tarpon 160os. I woudl def do a test paddle before i bought it if I were you. You might want to look at Ocean kayak, they are usually wider and more conmfortable kayaks for us bigger fellers

Tarpon 160os
It’s got the carrying capacity for you, but probably not the most comfortable choice. NikonJedi is paddling the prior generation T160, so the first question is what kind of hatches does it have? THe rubber snap on hatches were used on the 2 prior generations, and the cam lock Orbix hatches on the latest generation. The current model has a little more volume in the mid part of the boat, so it’s a little more stable and a little slower than gen 1 or gen 2 boats.
If I were pointing you toward a Wildy boat it would be a Ride 135. Plenty of carrying capacity, super stability, but a good bit slower than a Tarpon.
Let me know if you want to take a ride out for a test paddle and I’ll try to meet you somewhere… just not this weekend.

If the T140 is the one on Clist, That’s the current generation. It has the new seat , orbix hatches, and more stable hull design.
The “retail” price on the ad isn’t correct. That boat retails for $979.

I am about the same weight and use a Ocean Kayak Trident 15 and it handles the weight very well and still gets up and glides well for those all day paddles and you can even nap in it when waiting for your slower fishing partners to catch up:smiley:
Im around 280 too seaquick and I paddle the Angler 144, its sort of heavy, but holds me up great lots of storage run it on the regular at West Marine for $450-$499 … Dicks carrys it too for a little more …
