question???

yea man he scooted off the flat into the river, sheep can burn some drag

Chartreuse and white clouser has always been my #1 redfish fly. Although I think confidence in your selection may always trump the actual selection.

We saw one on a flat, not really tailing but he was not interested in a crab pattern thrown infront of him… I always thought sheeps were structure driven, had no idea they worked the flats too…

nikonjedi, i recently saw an episode of “Get Hooked” where the host, Eric Mannino, went to Baghdad. He fished with the fly fishing club that the troops had formed in baghdad. Were you over there when he was came to baghdad to do the show?

Really??? I think the dupre is the best fly for the thick stuff. It doesnt hang up much since the fly wobbles back and forth and undoes itself on the way down. Also it doesnt have much material to get caught up and is probably the best weedless fly out there. The only reason I wouldnt use one is because it sometimes feels like cheating because it is a non-traditional fly and works so well.

This brings up the question, what makes a fly a fly?

Half and half all the way. I have caught too many species off it.
