Left Patriots at 7;30, and proceeded to head straiht out with 2 friends who have only been offshore twice, and 1 who was making his first trip. Ocean was a little sporty heading right into it, trying to get to 140 ft. After a pretty bumpy ride decided to drop lines in 90 ft. Picked up our first dolphin in 98 ft.He hit a green Billy Bait. When we got to 106 ft. the way back took off and handed the TLD25 to the rookie. After a 20 minute battle, we had a nice wahoo about 30 ft. behind the boat when he tells me he can"t wind in any more line. I said what do you mean? That rod has a wind on leader on it. He flips it into free spool beore I can do anything and the fish shakes it"s head and says see ya later. He hit a small blue and yellow islander. My fault for not noticing. When we got to 116 ft. we ended up getting 2 more dolphin and 2 more wahoo (1 hit a pink and white Squitch as did both dolphin) the other hit the green Billy Bait. We also lost 1 more wahoo on the Billy Bait just before I was about to gaff him due to biting thru the flouro. 1 wahoo was 27lbs. the other was 32. Back in my slip at 3:30 after refueling.45 gallons. Boat washed, fish filleted and in my driveway at 5:21. Long read ,but if you can"t go fishing you can always read about it.
