Quicksilver 2-4-C w/PTFE vs Teflon

I’m in the process of doing yearly maintenance on my boat and getting her to the point that I can actually take her fishing without some sort of motor issues. I’ve changed out the impeller and getting ready to reinstall the lower unit. All the parts manuals and diagrams call for 2-4-C with Teflon for the drive shaft and shift shaft. All I could find locally was 2-4-C with PTFE. But the PTFE was a different part number. So I ordered w/Teflon from an online store and got another bottle PTFE. I understand PTFE is a form of Teflon but on the bottle of PTFE, it recommends Extreme Grease for drive shafts. Has Quick Silver changed P/Ns?

If there’s an alternative, let me know.

I might be getting a little OCD, but I want to catch a fish in the boat before next winter.

PTFE and teflon are one and the same. I think Teflon is Dupont’s name for the stuff.

PTFE = “Pure” Teflon
