a couple years back I was taking a nap on a slow day offshore when I heard people yelling “blue marlin, blue marlin” so I jumped up still 1/2 asleep right when the boat hit a trough and rolled hard…came off my feet and slammed my ribs in the corner of the kitchen counter in the salon.
Knocked the breath of me and bruised my ribs.
So freaking painful for weeks. Hurt to even breathe.
And of course the blue one jumped off on its first grey-hounding run.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

No way I could play any sport, especially football with bruised ribs.
does this mean quarterbacks are tougher than Clowney?
Alabama qb McElroy played with 2 cracked ribs against Fla in the SEC title game several years back.And won.
Texas qb cracked his ribs in the first quarter of the Thanksgiving Day game last year,he played nearly the entire game.
Tony Romo has played several times with cracked ribs and a punctured lung.
I am sure there are plenty more,those are a few that I remember watching.
I do give him credit for saying its bruised muscle,X-ray cant pick that up.
Kyle Parker had ribs broken when he got speared by the Auburn player and played the rest of the season. Albeit not well.
Some handle pain better than others.

Just because one is 6’-7" and weighs 270 and runs a 4.5 40 doesn’t mean he is tough. Toughness does not come from your physical attributes. I have personally witnessed a 5’-3" wrestler for Clemson whip a 6’-5" football player for Clemson. The football player was acting all “tough” before the altercation and not so “tough” during and after!
