R.I.P. Capt. OC

Sadly will be missed. He built a rod for me back in the day, rewrapped a lot of my older stuff.

I knew OC and he loved to fish. I made many trips co captaining with him on various head boats. He was a shirt off his back kind of person kind and generous to everyone. With him gone, a vast amount of fishing knowledge went with him

One of Ralph’s best friends, and used to make all of his “Ralph Rods” back in the day. A Ralph Rod is a 6 ft ML fast tip, Tennessee Handle rod specially built to feel a very soft trout bite, if you didn’t already know.

I was proud to meet him several times. A man of few words but very funny. And probably one of Charleston’s most experienced fishermen, ever.

RIP OC.

You get him, Sandy Stuhr (RIP) and Ralph on the same boat and just listen, and laugh your ass off
