Rage Tail by Strike King

I bought some Rage Tail Saltwater Series soft crab bait with the little tube of oil today from BPS.

Has anybody fished with this before? If so how did you fish it and did you have any luck with it.

They also had some shrimp that I figure if the crabs work this time of year I would also try the shrimp.

Ricky,

Is that actual crab or something made to look/fell like crab?

Thanks, Captain Ross

The Strike King RageTail shrimp and crab are actually manufactured by Z-Man here in Ladson, and they are constructed of Elaztech which is the same super strong plastic all the other Z-Man stuff is made from. The “oil” in the tube is ProCure which sticks well to that kind of plastic, and yes, the combo is highly effective at times fished very slowly (winter) across the bottom with a light jighead or flutter hook.

I looked them up today. I’m gonna order a couple packs to check them out. They look pretty good.
I already have a few small bottles of Pro Cure. I can tell you that on days when the fish are bumping artificials but not eating them, if you smear a little Pro Cure on it, it can turn your whole day around. I had a day like that about a month ago. I put a little inshore formula on my Zoom trick worm and started catching. My buddy asked to try some, put some on his, and started catching.
A couple pics from that day:

Thanks for the heads-up on those lures. I might not have heard of them if you hadn’t pointed them out.
