Ramp closing due to govmnt shutdown

I case you didn’t know…buck hall, moores and other government ramps are closed due to our wonderful government shutdown! :frowning_face:. Daddy said mccl. Was packed today due to this with no parking available even outside of it. I called and verified this with SCDR. Even the campers at buckhall had to leave:frowning_face:

Is there another launch near BH? I have only used BH to enter the bay.

Only garris which is closed…and in mcclellanville which is by permit only with only about 16 parking spaces. DNR said they would reopen when the government closure lifts. Feel ESP sorry for those who planned and reserved camping spots at buck hall

Thanks penfishin, I hope the Government comes to an agreement soon, my freezer is Empty! I am not much for crowds ( that’s why I go to BB, plenty of room for all). Bet the Harbor will be packed.

Ms. Penny, Is this shutdown affecting your work at the VA?

Not for now if you are in the medical field, nurses, radiology, phlebotomy, clinics etc. email said our budget had already been granted and was good until .2014. Wo knows after that? All we can do is hope that this will be over soon for everyone’s sakes…ESP. Folks like our vets and those who depend on a paycheck just to make ends meet.
