I case you didn’t know…buck hall, moores and other government ramps are closed due to our wonderful government shutdown! 
. Daddy said mccl. Was packed today due to this with no parking available even outside of it. I called and verified this with SCDR. Even the campers at buckhall had to leave:frowning_face:

Glad they are closed. The gov’t needs to get the entitlement stuff under control. I can live with the savings the country will see. Those that complain should get a real job and not depend on the government. And, I am unemployed and get 0$ from the government and do not want it either. This country was not built on government but on the backs of working people. That is what we need again.

I’m with you on the entitlement mentality plaguing the country but, there is no way this shut down is going to doing anything to stop that crap. Politicians spend gobs of time and money to get elected and once there, they spend most of their time trying to stay in office. In the meantime if they happen to do something worthwhile, then they break their own arm patting themselves on the back.

thats what makes me sad flyinghigh…or like the guy who wrote to me and said he took the day off to take his dad fishing…got the whole way there not knowing this and they had to come back home 
not making light of the overall situation at all…just looking out for those that might have planned to use the ramps and didnt know.

I heard they are paying a sheriff to guard garris boat landing ramp because it is set to automatically open at 7am. That seems to be costing money to pay that guy to prevent anyone using a no cost ramp.

I went by there today and there were none…but a man turnig around in front of me with a boat stopped and said he forst went to garris and they had them there. just signs and a gate at buckhall…took pics… will post later this evening

Looks like its time to find a back up for some people, even though I dont see how paying a guard to guard you from putting in does us any good…probably as much good as paying guards to keep vets out of the memorial in DC!
