Ranger Bass/Inshore Species Boats

Posted this in the Inshore Forum also as I have gotten several IM’s about my rig as there are not a lot of these out and about and I don’t really understand why. I’ve owned 9 boats over the past 13 years and I like to try new stuff fairly regularly so I trade up. So far this is by far the best boat I’ve owned out of many and it’s doing great in the salt.

My boat is a Ranger Intracoastal z21 which is based off of their popular z21 bass boat but has salt water grade metals, trim tabs, and of course no carpet and it fishes great. I have this one rigged with a MinnKota Riptide 101 w/iPilot and also have a Fortrexx that I can swap out for bass fishing.

I mentioned to the guys I’d post some pics of my rig. If interested in seeing a boat like this, there is a dealer who I would highly recommend in your immediate Charleston area; Berkeley Outdoors Marine in Monks Corner. If you are down my way, I’d be happy to show you this one.

Clinton Stewart owns the business and he knows boats. He’s been turning a wrench on them and fixing angler screw ups for a long time and he’s as good of a guy as there is and he is exceptionally fair with his pricing. Can’t encourage you enough to visit him if you want to see one of these rigs.

Here’s mine, it’s an 09 dual console with a Merc 250 ProXS. She’ll run 74 GPS all day long fully loaded. BTW, I’d not hesitate to put a 4 stroke on this boat but this one was pre-rigged with this motor which is great when I got it. I really like it and she’ll fish in 12" of water. I set the TM depth ring and just go do my thing. I have been blown away by how skinny it will get. Anyway, here’s the pics I promised. Tight lines guys.
