Hey All,

Newbie to fishing. Just bought my first rod and reel this week. I live in a neighborhood with a couple docks on Rathall Creek. I’m hoping I can catch some Reds and Trout off of them. Looking for a few tips to get me started:

1.) What tides/time should I be targeting to get a few good hours in?
2.) Bait suggestion? Mud Minnow? Blue Crab - can catch myself?

There are some oyster beds along the banks of the grass that I’ve noted. I saw a dolphin back on the creek around 11 am this morning as well.

Thanks for the tip. I have a popping cork with an artificial vudu shrimp on it available. I also have trout tricks as well.

Best thing you can do is spend time out there fishing. You will figger it out
