Just got a 23 albury with a raymarine c-120 on it. Sometimes when we turn it on it shows horizontal lines running all up and down the screen then 2 or 3 minutes later it boots up and is fine. Anyone ever had this happen or know whats going on? Im hoping to solve the problem before it goes out completley. Thanks for any help
I’ve been having the same problem. I’m afraid it’s going to fail when I need it most.
27’ Grady Chase that I steal occasionally, otherwise it’s a 19’ SeaPro, Worst Ever Yammie 115.
You tried doing a software download and update from Raymarine yet? They fixed a lot of issues over time with the upgrades. You can also contact them directly, great customer service and knowledgable help. Also have you checked all your connections? Have you replaced the factory compression connections with soldered connectors in heat shrinking?

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn’t go so far as to call a dog filthy but they’re definitely dirty. But, a dog’s got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Salty, we have not tried an update yet but will as soon as the boat gets back. Its currently at a shop being repainted and also having some electrical work done so I will be sure they look into that, thanks
My C-120 does it too. It seems worse in cold weather. Sometimes I can turn it off and then on again and the lines go away. Also, small lines may appear when the main menu is opened. It seems like a video card issue to me, but I don’t know any thing about them. This is my second C-120, with the first one being replaced under warranty. I am not too impressed with their durability. My $100 hummingbird on my jon boat is 10 years old and live in a harsher environment.
I think Raymarine will fix any problem for $800. If you get it figured out, please let us know. For now, I am saving my $ since I have a back-up GPS unit.

I just have a little ole C70 that I wired in myself. Its been on for 4 years now and functioned flawlessly since I replaced those compression fitting from the GPS unit. Sounds like ya’ll have a bad/improper ground or interference from something else bleeding in.
