Can anyone explain to me why weird things get left in creeks? I have seen chairs, ladders, wheel barrow tubs and other assorted things left in creeks up near the grass. Are people trying to build an oyster bed where there are none? The oyster thing makes sense but I usually see posts lined up in a pattern. Due to the locations I cant believe they are just washed there by the tides. Any insight would be great.
thanks
A LARGE PART IS STORM WASH , SOME IS WIND BLOWN FROM WHO KNOWES WHERE AND A MUCH TOO LARGE PART IS AZZSHATS DISCARDING THEIR GARBAGE/TRASH FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO PICK UP AND DEAL WITH

Some of the things I can see being washed out. But there are creeks with pvc pipes, wood post, and old crab traps laid out in a pattern. The large post and PVC pipe are definitely placed there on purpose. But they definitely are butt heads that dump stuff also. thanks for the responses.
The poles and old crab traps that you describe are put out on commercial shellfish permitted areas and some experimental areas to provide substrate for oyster spat. By the permit holder as part of their required husbandry efforts.
