Blah…blah…blah…At this point can the dnr or the CG keep up with this…?? I’m going to the gulf in July and am still trying to figure what I can keep. I have sent good money to the RFA…I hope something comes of it. Washington isn’t doing a thing and a more bi partison issue doesn’t exist.
I am pretty sure they are just making these numbers up now.
We all know haow heavily we have fished the golden tiles all winter…Geez guys, you act like the SAFMC has no idea what they are talking about.

No way, they would never make stuff up to get their way.
Oilfish are next…Bastards.
a quick search reveals that golden tilefish inhabit an area from Canada to Argentina in deep water ( lots of deep water out there) - and also along the African and European coast. They are also in the pacfic & Indian oceans. The SAFMC really must have a high opinion of their selves to think that they are “managing” the resource.
Has any of our lawyer members of Charleston Fishing looked into the legality of all these bs regulations. IE I go out and bring back a big ole snowy and golden tilefish and get caught. How far could I take it in court to try and defend my actions.
not a lawyer - but You could refuse to speak to the officer (5TH)and refuse to allow the search - but they will search anyway. Then call the court 3 days before the bench trial and get a new date. As the new date approaches demand a jury trial and ask for complete discovery. This should push the date back close to a year.
The SAFMC regs bear the force of law, and several LEO agencys enforce
Who comes up with this $^&*?
