After waiting 3 days for mother nature to let us go fishing we finally go to on Sunday. Headed out to our favorite sailfish area to catch wahoo. Caught the first (and hopefully winning fish) at around 10am in 400’ from the marlin tower. Was an adventure to catch a 43.4lb wahoo while rocking and rolling in the tower. But I managed with help from the crew below. Then we watched boats all around us catch sails as we just trolled and trolled. Listened to Over Run call in 5 caught and released…Ugh. Not another bite until around 1pm and again from the tower on a rigged spanish wtfb. She came in and hit it 4 times before she took off with it for a good 20 seconds and decided she didn’t want it. Stripped full drag on a 50vsw, spanish was shredded and so was the 400lb mono all the way up. Pretty sure it was a blue… First shot all year. Oh well. Got another wahoo(18.0lbs) at around 1:30 and the last one (22.0lbs) at 2:30. 2nd and 3rd were caught on the planer and the first one was caught on the wtfb on a Black Bart Jet Head with a med ballyhoo. Nice day on the water and a beautiful ride home.
I really like the shoes on the bigger guy with the bud hat!! Well I guess they do kinda match his shorts. Good job on the hoo’s! So what night are we cookin down at the dock?
Thanks Tom and Scott. Tom, I can’t wait for you to get back so we can fish that new rig of yours. Looks like I am going to need all the invites I can get, I think mine is sold. Time to start looking again which is half the fun Right! Split Tail, I will let you take Mr. Winfields fashion up with him. He would enjoy that I am sure:) Thanks again guys.

Yall are more than welcome to fish with me anytime…just make sure old Winfield wears the lucky shorts!! I’m sure we can get Mr. Bobble Head from the Marlin Darlin to give us a ride too…
■■■■, that didn’t last long. Of course, you and your crew can fish with me anytime. I’m picking the boat up from the yard next week. I guess a certain yankee will be waiting on the dock with a Bud Lite in hand.

Yeah Tom I had a unique opportunity come up in my business so I had to get rid of it in order to get the cash out I dumped in it when I bought it. That and I will be a father in January. But come this spring I will be back in the market for a mid 40’ range convertible. I would truly appreciate the invites whenever you need someone. That is about all that Yankee will have in his hand for sure. Well maybe a water hose.
Your math skills are above my head, but after meeting Red Bull here and there, I guarantee that he will get the boat regardless of circumstances. the man likes to fish on a comfortable ride

I rather suspect he will find a comfortable ride at the Bristol, where he is always welcome, despite the Yankee friend.

Skinnee, now you got me wondering who you are? Really only know one person that calls me that.
Not the same guy. I was just following up on Split Tail and taking a crack at the camoflauge blue shorts. That is something that a member of G UNIT would wear. And, of course a-fish-a-knot-o...
