What’s the saying about “red headed step-kids”? Felt like I was abusing some red headed fish today. They were caught at distance and caught within rod length. They were eating every pattern I thew. Dark suspension minnow, shrimp, copper what-ever it was. Small was about 23" and large was 31", I’m guessing. Just doing water release on fish and occasional crappy picture. 
Watching one red heading right at me as I was moving water with that minnow was cool. Saw his nostrils clear the water as he mouthed it. Tightened up and… fish on. All fish fought like champs. Nice cool clear water.
Storm was threatening so, I didn’t get to run over to flat #2. Sure weren’t many people at the boat ramp.
