I asked that very question to the safmc on their facebook page when the season was announced. they said if the weather was poor they would consider opening back up another weekend, which I seriously doubt. I have caught quite a few ars this year all to be released unfortunately.
Since I work most weekends its not like ars season would even be a possibility for me.

Cltdeerhunter, please ask the SAFMC why they are allocating over 500,000 pounds of our 2013 Red Snapper Total Allowable Catch to dead discards when fishermen can only harvest less than 100,000 pounds.
