Redfish Fishing Charleston and Video

Hello All,

I’m new to the forum and recently moved to Charleston about a year ago from Tennessee. I’ve been a bass fisherman most of my life and quickly learn that Saltwater fishing is much different. After fishing the the creeks throughout IOP and Sullivan’s for the past summer I was unable to land a Redfish. I was lucky enough to join Captain Ben Floyd this past Sunday on the hunt for my first Red and within in 15 minutes of launching the boat I was snapping pics of my first Redfish. It’s an amazing time to fish for Red’s right now and I highly recommend getting out there and taking advantage of this weather. I took some video and pictures of our trip and will post the youtube link below. I just wanted to share my trip give a quick shout out to Ben & the Charleston Fish Finder for helping me eliminate months of aggravation of never landing a Red.

“In every species of fish I’ve angled for, it is the ones that have got away that thrill me the most, the ones that keep fresh in my memory. So I say it is good to lose fish. If we didn’t, much of the thrill of angling would be gone.” Ray Bergman
